So do you hate me because I’m Black?
No, I don’t hate you because you’re Black.
Do you hate me because I’m gay?
No, I don’t hate you because you’re gay.
Because I’m a woman?
No, I don’t hate you because you’re a woman.
Because I’m Christian?
No.
Because I’m a Christian?
No.
Because I’m always busy?
No.
Because I talk too much?
You don’t talk too much. You have good people skills, but I don’t hate you because you talk.
Well what do you hate me for?
I love you because you’re you.
I love you because you’re a people person and I wish I had those skills.
I love your humor and your compassion.
I love your confidence, despite your anxiety right now,
and I love your love for the Lord.
I’m not sure why you think I hate you, but I love you so much!
I aspire to be like that. And I’m glad to know a soul such as yourself.
