Dear Body

Dear Body,

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry for the way I treated you.

I’m sorry for neglecting you for my mental health.

Dear joints,

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry that I pop your synovial fluid, putting us at risk for inflammation.

Inflammation in the ankle, knees, elbows, and shoulders.

I’m sorry for the future full body arthritis.

Dear back,

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry you have to carry all of this weight.

We’re supposed to be young and be able to move around, but that’s just not the case.

Dear self,

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry for not taking better care of you.

Sincerely,

Yourself,

Your mind,

And your heart.

We love you.
