Don’t Say You Love Me.

Don’t tell me that you love me, but instead you can ask me if I’ve eaten today.

Don’t tell me that you love me.  Instead, create art that reminds me of our first date.

Don’t tell me that you love me, but instead, ask me what the Bible says when I ask for your opinion.

Don’t tell me that you love me, instead why-’on’t-you ask me how my day went?

Because instead of telling me that you love me,

you can show me how your actions never fail to show me how you really feel.

Because actions never hide behind a smile or a fake voice.

They’re loud, sweet, and sometimes annoying– all of what I love, wrapped up in one package.
