Inner Monologue, Spoken Out Loud (A Series, Part 8)

September Thoughts 1/5

9/2/24

  1. Real Talk: does anyone actually have time to eat, or do we all just snack all day?

  2. Study sessions in the engineering building when every other building is closed including the library>>>>

  3. It’s just me and this 3rd floor bathroom against the world!!

9/3/24

  1. Me realizing that I don’t know what I’m doing or where I’m going-- like ever, I’m just trusting my brain on autopilot

  2. Not having a google calendar is a nerve racking thing to experience

  3. I’m going give up 🔁 never mind I’m almost there [a cycle]

9/4/24

  1. Just read through a whole chapter of Leviticus, and just realized I retained nothing.  “Lord please help me to understand, comprehend, and receive any personal convictions necessary”

9/5/24

  1. Self love for me is actually putting my clothes away, brushing my teeth, and making my bed.  It’s reading my Bible and praying, and buying decor for my room that I actually put on my walls.  Self love is taking the back way to my classes bc I don’t have time to get distracted by conversations.  Self love is not just loving yourself, but loving yourself back.

  2. Pause.  I’ve worked every single day this week except for yesterday??

  3. Having to use the bathroom while being thirsty is the worse feeling ever, but have you ever had to use the bathroom while you’re thirsty AND hungry, but you’re in the zone of work, an assignment, or SOMETHING??

  4. Quote of the day: “okay, let me pee and poop, and nap, and snack, and think about it, and I’ll lyk”

9/6/24

  1. Is college knowing you need sleep, but never getting any?

  2. All feelings aside, I think we make pretty good friends.

  3. Dear pastors, here’s a sermon idea: the feeling of condemnation vs. conviction

  4. I wanna talk to the first person who was like “yuhhhh imma ride dis horse”

  5. Things I’ve learned while working at the rec: 1) most ppl don’t have home training. 2) Never shower at the rec or any public (gym) shower 3) old ppl that workout will be the best part of your shift 4) they don’t pay you enough to care, but depending on your shift supervisor and the ppl you work with, you’ll forget about the low pay and stay.  5) the shifts are super convenient for a college student

  6. “How do you handle all of that” (a fuel).
