I always loved how pretty Autumn was.
I loved how the leaves changed colors, and they fell off the trees.
I loved the sound that they made as I scooted my feet through a big pile of leaves.
The “whooshing” ASMR of Autumn, and its beautiful colors are so calming.
My favorite thing about Autumn is when the trees are planted perfectly for the leaves to fall on the pavement.
I absolutely love to see which ones crunch in efforts to make a louder crunch each time.
The worst part of Autumn is when my dad and all of the old people through town thought that the leaves made their yards look a mess, so they’d rake, and they’d rake, and they'd until it made a big pile in their yard. They’d leave it there for days, or maybe weeks until they threw it in a bag for nature trash.
I hated the disappointment of the leaves disappearing from the yards, because that just reminded me that winter’s getting closer. The leaves were nowhere to be found. They were no longer on the trees, and I could no longer crunch them on the ground. The sun no longer shined as bright or as long, so everything was dull, dark, and lonely. Everything was depressing. There was no more color or warm weather, and you didn’t get to see as many people out and about.
Dear Autumn-Fall, thank you for being you. Sincerely, one of your biggest fans.
